Inspired by the anime series by Masamune Shirow and the movie directed by Rupert Sanders, Dragon Lady in The Shell is a fictional character idea made in a Singaporean dystopian setting. Dragon Lady was influenced from a stereotype of a strong and mysterious Asian woman back in history. This project was born out of my frustration of what I feel the actress in the movie didn’t deliver for the real life adaptation.
